This work is a subtly humorous take on the power structures of the “G8 nations” and their influence on global politics, while also alluding to the ambivalence of identity and national symbolism. It questions the graphic power of the flag, a symbol of identity and marker of belonging, to convey an increasingly fragile or even debilitated authenticity in a globalized world.
