The question of “becoming” is central to my artistic work. How does a person develop into a soldier who is capable of killing another human being? How does someone become a dictator? And how was I able to become an artist with this past: growing up with ugly plastic objects and firmly believing in a dictator until adolescence? When and how does this transformation happen?
